Dell Printer

The Dell V305w is cosmetically appealing and inexpensive, but the output quality needs significant improvement, and the cost to maintain the printer is much higher than the industry standard. We recommend checking out the competition for a printer that will give you longer-lasting inks, cheaper replacement cartridges, and more acceptable photo-quality prints.

Specifications:
Printer Type: Digital photo - Inkjet paper - Color laser paper; Max media size: A4, Legal (8.5 in x 14 in)

Price range: $79.00 - $129.00

Asus Essentio

Specifically, Asus has included an 8600M GT MXM module in the Essentio, which by itself is a significant departure from the normal specs and build of this class of super-compact computers. Past SFFs has never failed to stay true to the name, delivering PCs in small-volume casings, but with poor graphics performance. Since most users use SFFs either for normal desktop productivity or as the centerpiece of a PC- based media system, Asus decided to concentrate on making the Essentio capable either way – with the aforementioned mid-range 8600M coupled with2GB of DDR2 800 and a 2.66GHzCore 2 Duo on an Intel G35 chipset motherboard

Price range: $599.99

Intel Core i7 965

Fastest high-end desktop CPU; supporting motherboard supports both graphics card vendors' multicard technologies.
Intel's new Core i7 desktop processors will remain enthusiast and professional-level parts until more affordable complementary hardware comes out later next year. Speed never comes cheap, however, and if you're willing to spend for it now, you'll find yourself in possession of the fastest CPU on the market.

Price range: $1,006.00 - $1,107.44

Aple Ipod

Priced at $229 (8GB), $299 (16GB), and $399 (32GB), the second-generation iPod Touch still commands a fairly high price compared with other MP3 players with similar capacities. When you weigh the price of the iPod Touch against its features, however, the device becomes much more attractive. Out of the box, the second-generation iPod Touch includes an amazing music player, podcast support, video playback (including iTunes rentals and a YouTube player), a Safari Web browser, photo viewer, an e-mail reader (compatible with Outlook, Exchange, MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, or any POP e-mail service), an integrated Wi-Fi music store, and a host of smaller utilities (weather, calendar, maps, stocks, notes, clock, contacts, and calculator). Provided you can become proficient with its touch-screen keyboard, the iPod Touch is more pocket PC than MP3 player.

Toshiba Satellite E105-S1402

The good:
Impressive battery life; lengthy warranty; sturdy construction; backlit keyboard and touch-sensitive media-control buttons.

The bad:
Boxy design won't appeal to all; lacks expansion card slot and FireWire; lousy speakers.

The bottom line:
The 14.1-inch Toshiba Satellite E105 is a solid all-around laptop that delivers on Best Buy's Blue Label promises: longer battery life, lightweight design, and lengthy warranty.

Specifications:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo (2.26 GHz); RAM installed: 4 GB DDR II SDRAM; Weight: 5.1 lbs

Price range: $1,099.99

Sony NV-U84

The good:
The NV-U84 GPS device has a huge 4.8-inch wide screen and is easily viewable in direct sunlight. Position Plus makes navigating areas with spotty satellite reception more precise. The Super Suction Cup allows dashboard mounting as easily as glass mounting.

The bad:
For a device with no Bluetooth and no traffic data, the $349 price tag seems a bit high. The jumpy auto-complete system actually slows down destination entry.

The bottom line:
Sony has positioned the otherwise good NV-U84 GPS device in an odd spot, where it's not as good a value as the models immediately above and below it in the NAV-U lineup.

Specifications:
Destination: Automotive; Weight: 8.8 oz; Audible assistance: Street name announcement, Navigation instructions.

Price range: $319.99 - $349.99
